BTC Liquidity State Machine | Nov 4, 2026: S3, deleveraging eases but flows remain negative
S3 DELEVERAGING at 51% confidence. Reserve balances shrink, real yields rise, ETF redemptions persist and stablecoins contract. Liquidations ease, but g has not stabilized enough for S3→S1.
ARGUS BTC Liquidity State Machine Daily — November 4, 2026. English overview only. The complete original report is in Chinese; this is not a full English translation. Original full report: https://argusx.fun/research/liquidity/2026-11-04/daily/
State: S3 DELEVERAGING, 51% confidence (FLOW + POSITIONING), unchanged versus the previous session but with falling confidence. Liquidity quantity (Q) remains tight; real rates and the dollar ticked higher (P); fund redemptions and shrinking stablecoin supply remain adverse (g); liquidation pressure has eased substantially without firm proof of renewed spot demand (F). This explains why we are not yet exiting S3 under the specified recovery rule, while it would be a mistake to describe current BTC futures as an accelerating liquidation cascade.
Confirmed observations and source-consistent units: 2026-10-28 reserves 2.893770 trillion USD, down 0.068837 trillion week over week. 2026-10-28 TGA 0.999727 trillion USD, up 0.047725 trillion week over week. 2026-11-03 2Y 4.61%; 3Y reference 4.68%; 10Y 4.95%; 30Y 5.32%; 10Y real yield 2.65%. The nominal 10Y-2Y slope is 34bp; the real yield comes from a separate TIPS curve. 2026-11-03 DXY 101.85 points. 2026-11-02 SOFR-IORB +5bp (3.95%-3.90%), latest available matched observation. 2026-11-02 BTC ETF flow -3.986 hundred million USD (-$398.6m); Oct 30 was -$643.2m. November 3 data are incomplete (IBIT not yet reported) and cannot be considered a final zero or aggregate. 2026-11-03 stablecoins 2938.99 hundred million USD (-1.78% over seven days). Nov 4 00:22 UTC BTC derivatives snapshot: BTC $77,492, 24h liquidations $51.3m, aggregate OI $30.2bn (-0.4% 24h), funding +0.0101% per eight hours. Calendar-day liquidation totals dropped from $85.7m on Nov 2 to $50.3m on Nov 3.
Signals: completed ETF outflows deepen funding weakness; real yields and DXY rose; decelerating liquidations reduce the evidence for sustained self-reinforcing deleveraging. Expected vs actual: BTC is still weak relative to the Nasdaq's November 3 advance, but forced liquidation has not accelerated. No two-window structural residual has been established. Feedback Gain: STABLE, describing slowing negative feedback, not resumed risk-on. Policy threshold: APPROACHING, not AT-THRESHOLD; no verified Fed injection is credited to Q.
Thesis invalidation and next checks: stability of liquidation/OI/funding plus non-deteriorating actual inflows would permit S3→S1; renewed involuntary selling plus deteriorating g/P would reconfirm S3. Monitor final ETF flow and stablecoins, BTC OI/funding/liquidations, and reserves/TGA versus SOFR-IORB. Portfolio implication: reduce leverage and await cross-layer confirmation, not a price-only signal.
