BTC Liquidity State Machine | 2026-11-03: Provisional S3, Renewed Liquidations
Provisional S3 deleveraging, 54% confidence, driven by flow and positioning. BTC long liquidations revived Nov 2, but OI rose 2.6%, countering a full cascade interpretation. Stablecoin supply shrank 1.51% over seven days; Nov 2 ETF data incomplete. Q remains tight and P mixed. Feedback gain provisionally REVERSING.
BTC Liquidity State Machine — November 3, 2026. English overview only; the complete original research report is in Chinese above. This is not a full English translation. Canonical issue URL: https://argusx.fun/research/liquidity/2026-11-03/daily/ The framework remains strictly Q (quantity of USD liquidity), P (funding price), g (verifiable BTC cash demand), and F (positioning feedback). Main state: S3 DELEVERAGING (provisional, 54% confidence; FLOW + POSITIONING). Not a claim that a fresh self-reinforcing liquidation cascade has been confirmed. Q remains under pressure; P is mixed (nominal yields and dollar softened but the ten-year real yield rose); g remains weak; F shows renewed long liquidations alongside increasing, not shrinking, open interest. S3 can exit to S1 once the liquidation loop stops, BTC cash flow stops deteriorating, and real spot absorption is verified. Strong, sustained positive g together with supportive Q/P and healthy leverage is required for S2. The policy reaction threshold remains APPROACHING, not reached; a potential Treasury cash drawdown or Fed's permission to buy bills must not be counted as a realized liquidity injection.
Observed metrics (verbatim extracts corresponding to structured observations):
- Bank reserves (weekly average, 2026-10-28): 2.893770 trillion USD.
- Treasury General Account (weekly average, 2026-10-28): 0.999727 trillion USD.
- Two-year nominal Treasury yield (2026-11-02): 4.59%.
- Ten-year nominal Treasury yield (2026-11-02): 4.91%.
- Thirty-year nominal Treasury yield (2026-11-02): 5.28%.
- Ten-year real Treasury yield (2026-11-02): 2.62%.
- SOFR minus IORB (2026-10-30): +5 basis points.
- US spot BTC ETF net flow (2026-10-30): -643.2 million USD.
- Aggregate stablecoin supply (2026-11-02): 295.442 billion USD.
Key new signals: (1) BTC liquidations rose again on Nov 2, while aggregate BTC OI increased, limiting confidence in a mechanical liquidation cascade; (2) nominal 10-year yields and the dollar softened even though 10-year real yields increased. Existing stablecoin contraction persists; November 2 ETF flows remain incomplete and must NOT be interpreted as zero.
Expected versus actual: a durable exit from S3 should bring stable derivatives conditions and no further weakening in actual g. Instead, liquidations revived and aggregate stablecoin supply shrank. This is one-window adverse evidence against an early-recovery thesis, not a confirmed two-window structural residual.
Feedback Gain: REVERSING, provisionally, owing to newly renewed long liquidations; the rise in OI is important counter-evidence. Policy Reaction Pressure: APPROACHING; 5bp SOFR−IORB is not by itself systemic distress. Falsification: sustained end to liquidations plus non-deteriorating real demand would shift S3→S1; renewed liquidation cascade with real sales and worse g/P would strengthen S3. Next observe completed ETF flow, BTC OI/funding/liquidations, and reserves/TGA/SOFR-IORB. Investment implication: reduce leverage and wait for cross-layer confirmation; no price-only macro stop.
