BTC Liquidity State Machine — Oct 31, 2026: Exchange Liquidity Shock and Deleveraging
S3 DELEVERAGING (65%). A major Binance security breach impaired collateral mobility and coincided with heavy BTC forced liquidations; partial ETF flows and stablecoin supply weakened. Fed reserves remain under pressure. Later liquidation data suggest easing, but recovery requires independent flow and position confirmation.
ARGUS BTC Liquidity State Machine — October 31, 2026. This is an English overview only. The complete original report is in Chinese above. This is NOT a full English translation. Canonical issue page (once published): https://argusx.fun/research/liquidity/2026-10-31/daily/
State: S3 DELEVERAGING (65% confidence), FLOW + POSITIONING. An extraordinary exchange-specific liquidity shock, associated with the Binance security breach, generated BTC forced liquidations while spot ETF reported partial flows and broad stablecoin supply were weakening. Structural dollar liquidity remains tight; lower Treasury real yields do not establish healthy risk-on. Recent rolling liquidation pressure and BTC derivatives open interest suggest that the cascade may be slowing, so the persistence of S3 is uncertain. Do not equate stolen assets with instantaneous selling or company loss coverage with Fed liquidity.

- As of the weekly average ending 2026-10-28, TGA was 0.999727 trillion USD.
- On 2026-10-30, BC_2YEAR was 4.56%.
- On 2026-10-30, BC_10YEAR was 4.94%.
- On 2026-10-30, BC_30YEAR was 5.31%.
- On 2026-10-30, TC_10YEAR real yield was 2.60%.
- On 2026-10-30, reported US spot BTC ETF flow was -409.5 million USD (preliminary; IBIT and other funds outstanding).
- As of 2026-10-30, stablecoin supply was approximately 297.155 billion USD, down 1.26% over seven days.
Main tests: continued BTC-specific liquidations versus OI/funding stabilization; final ETF and stablecoin flows versus actual spot absorption; reserves/TGA and financing costs. An improvement in derivatives alone cannot establish durable S2 risk-on. Policy pressure is APPROACHING, not an actual verified Federal Reserve liquidity injection.
