Kpler figures quoted in Reuters commentary show October-to-date Middle East exports near 17.3 mb/d versus 16.9 mb/d prewar under that source's regional scope, while Strait of Hormuz passage averages 11.7 mb/d, ~82% of prewar. Vessel charter costs ~$1.4m/day and cited cargo insurance ~10% of cargo value reveal resilience at extraordinary cost. EIA's October 21 release for week ended October 16 reports distillate stock build ~1.7m barrels but 9% below normal and refinery utilization 93.4%. IRGC claims of seven vessels struck are not independently corroborated.
